AVOID THESE MISTAKES WHEN SELECTING A PHOTOGRAPHER FOR FAMILY AND SENIOR PICTURES
MISTAKE #1: Buying photos based on price
If you are buying something to keep for a very long time and then pass onto your children and grandchildren does it make sense to buy the cheapest, lowest quality product or would it be better to get something that you knew was of high quality? Have you ever bought anything of high quality and regretted that it was too good and wished you bought a lower quality product? Of course not and unlike buying a watch, jewelry, etc. that you can replace, you cannot go “back in time” and take a picture.
Poor quality is never a good value at any price. Photographs and memories are all we have to remember our loved ones by. You are likely to own your photos for longer than any car, furniture, or your home. So even if you can buy cheap photos, would you really want them?
MISTAKE #2: The 15 minute portrait session at the mall.
At the mall or school photographer you’re likely to get a 15 minute session with the same lighting for every shot in one outfit. How much creativity and quality can you get in 15 minutes? In contrast, look through our samples and you’ll immediately see a huge difference. You’ll see dramatic lighting, outdoor settings, a variety of poses and outfits all skillfully put together without rush. Our sessions typically run an 60 - 90 minutes long. You can choose indoors or outdoors, and tell us your preferences. If you like you can even bring in a photo from a magazine to show a style that you’re looking for. You can change outfits, bring a pet, a musical instrument, whatever you like. It’s your portrait and you get to decide what it’s going to look like! Also, you don’t need to worry about blemishes. The images you choose for printing will all receive digital facial retouching to make you look great!
